AI isn't generating output

Which engine is not generating?

Different AI engines have different trigger conditions. The most common cause of "no output" is simply that the trigger condition has not been met yet. Start by identifying which engine you are expecting output from.

Pre-Race Brief — timing

The Pre-Race Brief fires automatically at approximately 3 minutes before the scheduled off. It will not generate earlier than this, regardless of how long a race has been open.

If you are looking at a race that is 30 minutes from the off, the Brief has not been generated yet — this is correct behaviour. Return to that race within the 3-minute window before the off to see the Brief.

If you opened a race after the Brief was already generated, the most recent Brief is displayed immediately with a timestamp. If no Brief is shown and the race is within or past the 3-minute window, see the troubleshooting steps below.

Liquidity Interpreter — active runner required

The Liquidity Interpreter requires an active runner tab to be selected in the ladder. If you have loaded a race but not selected a specific runner, the Liquidity Interpreter does not have a target to analyse. Click any runner tab to activate the ladder for that runner, and the Liquidity Interpreter should begin producing notes within a few seconds.

Live Trade Thesis — waiting for a signal

The Live Trade Thesis does not fire on a schedule. It fires when the microstructure monitoring layer detects a pattern significant enough to warrant Opus-level analysis. In calm, low-activity markets — particularly on smaller meetings or runners with thin liquidity — this threshold may not be reached for extended periods.

If the market is quiet, the absence of a thesis is itself informative. Not every market warrants a thesis.

Value Detector — rate limit

The Value Detector has a 30-second rate limit between requests on the same runner. If you clicked Analyse and then clicked again within 30 seconds, the second request was suppressed. Wait for the cooldown timer to complete.

Also confirm that a race is loaded and a runner is selected — the Value Detector requires both.

Trading DNA — trade threshold

Trading DNA requires a minimum trade history to unlock: 20 trades for the Preview version and 50 trades for the Full version. If neither threshold has been reached, the DNA page will show your current progress toward unlock.

Clicking Refresh

For most AI panels, a Refresh button is visible in the AI Intelligence panel. Clicking this re-requests output from the relevant engine. Use this if you believe output should have been generated but the panel is showing stale or empty content.

Persistent issues across all engines

If no AI engine is producing output across multiple sessions and races, there may be a platform-level issue with AI inference. Check the HRT status page for any posted incidents. If no incident is posted and the problem continues, contact support with:

• The race(s) and time(s) where output was expected
• Which engines failed to generate
• Whether Refresh produced any output or an error message
