Accessing subscription settings

All subscription management is available at Settings โ†’ Subscription. This page shows:

  • Your current plan status (Trial / Active / Cancelled / Lapsed)
  • The date your current billing period ends
  • Your payment method on file (last four digits and expiry)
  • A button to open the Stripe Customer Portal for detailed billing management
  • Your recent payment history

Updating your payment card

To update your payment method, click Manage billing on the Settings โ†’ Subscription page. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal โ€” a secure, Stripe-hosted interface for managing your payment details.

In the Stripe Customer Portal you can:

  • Add a new card
  • Remove an existing card
  • Set a different card as the default payment method

Changes to your payment method take effect on your next billing cycle. If a payment has recently failed and you want to retry it with a new card, update your card in the Portal and then click Retry payment on the subscription page.

Viewing invoices

All invoices are available in the Stripe Customer Portal. Each invoice shows the billing date, amount charged, and a download link for a PDF receipt. Invoices are also emailed to your account address immediately after each successful payment.

If you need invoices with a specific company name or VAT number for business expense purposes, update your billing details in the Stripe Customer Portal before your next billing date.

Cancelling your subscription

To cancel, go to Settings โ†’ Subscription and click Cancel subscription. You will be asked to confirm.

After cancellation:

  • Your access continues until the end of the current paid billing period
  • You will not be charged again
  • Your account data, trade history, preferences, and Trading DNA analysis are retained for 12 months from the cancellation date
  • After 12 months, inactive account data is deleted in line with our privacy policy
You can re-activate within the 12-month window and all your historical data will still be available. After 12 months, you would start fresh.

Re-activating a cancelled subscription

If your subscription is cancelled or lapsed, go to Settings โ†’ Subscription and click Re-activate subscription. You will be asked to confirm or add a payment method. Your subscription restarts immediately and your historical data is restored.

What happens if a payment fails

If your monthly payment fails (e.g. card expired or declined), you will receive an email notification. HRT retries the payment over the following 7 days. If payment is not successful within that window, your account access is paused until a valid payment method is added and a successful payment is made.
